3-Year Plan Workshop

We had a fantastic turnout last Monday night by members and our local community engaging in conversation on building our 3-year plan. We had well over 110 people in attendance broken into small groups and the discussions, the chatter, laughter, connection, sharing of thoughts, ideas and engagement was a pleasure for all to hear throughout the hall. The feedback has been very positive and that is down to everyone for their participation and passion for Na Piarsaigh club and its bright future. Workshop 2 will take place on the 8th of February with all 7 focus groups giving feedback and their recommendations of priority for next 3 years. If you would like to get involved in this excellent initiative and join one of the 7 focus groups, please contact Donie O’Gorman on 086 866 8204.

Camogie

A fruitful weekend for many of our Camogie girls with both Laurel Hill Coláiste winning the Munster B final and Laurel Hill English winning the Munster C final. On Friday evening Laurel Hill Coláiste beat Loretto Fermoy on a scoreline of 3-07 to 2-04. Representing Na Piarsaigh were Anna Rose Benson, Ava Smith, Caitlin Ryan, Eileen Herbert and Maud Nicholas. While on Saturday afternoon, Laurel Hill English were brought all the way to extra-time, edging out St. Declan’s by a solitary point. Once again, Na Piarsaigh had a strong contingent with Kate Grant, Lucy Hartnett, Sophie Duggan, Rosie McCaul and Orla Bermingham all in a playing capacity with Sinead McNamara as coach. Well done to all involved with both schools. The future is certainly bright for Camogie in Na Piarsaigh.

Hurling

Ardscoil Ris had a hard fought win over John the Baptist, Hospital last Wednesday on a scoreline of 0-17 to 0-13. John O’Keefe lined out at right corner back with James Finn just in front at right wing back. Sean Harrington, Eoin Brosnan, and Ronan Benson were also presenting Na Piarsaigh on the extended panel. Ardscoil will play Thurles CBS next Saturday at 12.30 in Kilmallock in what should be a cracking encounter.

Ardscoil’s White Cup quarter final due to be played this Wednesday has been postponed due to the freezing weather.

Limerick

Emmet McEvoy made his Limerick debut against Clare last Wednesday evening in fresh January conditions in Clarecastle. Emmet has been one of our most consistent performers in recent seasons and it’s fantastic to see him don the Limerick jersey.
