Féile Peile na nÓg

Our under 15 footballers had wonderful success this weekend winning the County Féile Peile nan Óg Roinn B, hosted in Na Piarsaigh. We had a hard fought win in the semi-final beating Pallasgreen on a scoreline of 2-04 to 1-02. This set us up for a meeting with a very fancied Kildimo team in the final. We played against a stiff breeze in the first half but the work rate of our lads saw us enter the break leading by 3 points. Half time score; Na Piarsaigh 2-00 Kildimo 0-03. Our lads used the breeze to their advantage in the second half, proving much the stronger team, scoring a goal and four in the 20 minutes. The final whistle was blown and Na Piarsaigh were Limerick Féile Peile champions. Well done to the squad and management for the brilliant work put in since the start of the year. We can all look forward to the National Féile Peile na nÓg taking place on the last Saturday in June. Final score: Na Piarsaigh 3-04 Kildimo 1-03

Our intermediate hurlers had a well deserved win over Cappamore in round 2 of the league on Sunday evening. In what were testing conditions at times, our lads ground out a 2 point victory over a dogged Cappamore team. Final score: Na Piarsaigh 0-14 Cappamore 0-12
