Underage Hurling Academy starts back on Saturday 30th of August.
Fundamental Movement starts back on Saturday 6th of September.
Our senior footballers lost out to Monaleen in round 2 of the championship last Thursday evening in Rhebogue. We were well in the hunt in the opening quarter, matching Monaleen on the scoreboard with 4 different Na Piarsaigh men registering points. Evan Egan clipped a free, James and Kieran Daly booted a point each, with Donie Ó Conaill fisting one between the posts. Unfortunately, we would have to wait another 24 minutes, and the second half before we raised another white flag. Score at the break: Na Piarsaigh 0-04 Monaleen 0-11
Monaleen buried a goal in the opening play of the second half. That wasn’t ideal. They kept the tapping over the points also, as they extended their lead to 12 points. Kieran Daly pulled back a goal with 10 to play. A great finish to the corner of the net, after working his way in from the left. Daniel Collins blasted our second goal moments later, following a quick free from Evan Egan. Egan found Daniel free on the 14, along with the Monaleen defense napping. Daniel nearly burst the net with a thundering shot. Certainly a standout moment in a game that’s probably best forgotten.
Team: Eoghain Sherlock, Adam Jordan, Jack McCarthy, Christy O'Hagan, Cathal McMullen, Ian Leonard, Ronan Houlihan, Donie Ó Conaill(0-01), Matty Walsh, Evan Egan(0-03, 0-02f), Gordon Brown, Kieran Daly(1-01), Eoghan Vukovic, Dean McLoughlan, James Daly(0-02).

Minor Hurling Championship Semi-Final
Na Piarsaigh 1-13
Doon 3-13
Our minor hurlers championship campaign came to a shuddering halt last Wednesday evening following a 6-point defeat to Doon. The loss is without doubt a bitter pill to swallow having shown serious promise in the group stage of the championship. The squad and management team have put in some exemplary work since the winter and it would be wrong to let one poor performance overshadow the growth that has taken place. We look forward now to seeing many of those involved complete with the intermediate, junior B’s and C’s and the under 20’s later in the year.
Team: Marcus Murphy, Ben Murray, Mike Duggan, Brian Connolly, Adam Fitzsimons, Eoin Brosnan, Ferdia Minihane, David O'Keeffe(0-01), Harry McGann, Alex Kearns(0-01), Shane Waters(0-07, 0-07f), Conor Bermingham, Padraig Murnane(0-01), Danny Sheehan(1-03), Paul McDonogh.
