William O’Donoghue captained Limerick to the Munster League title on Saturday afternoon following a 23-points to 15 win over Waterford in Mallow. William had an outstanding display at centre back, pipped for man of the match by Aidan O’Connor. Vince Harrington started the game at corner back, putting in a very solid 50 minutes of hurling, along with keeping his man scoreless. Peter and Mike Casey both lined out in previous weeks, along with James Finn getting a call up to the squad for their tie with Cork. Limerick kick off their National League campaign against Waterford on Sunday the 1st of February in Walsh Park.

Club Executive
The Executive Committee had its first meeting of 2026 last week with many new faces in attendance. Dave Boylan was proposed and seconded as club vice-chair with Joe Heaney being appointed as chair of the bar committee. The main item up for discussion was the planned irrigation system for pitch 1 and pitch 2. The project received the support of the Executive and is planned to start in April of this year, subject to planning. The works will be staggered to limit disruption to our teams training plans.
Membership
Club Membership for the 2026 season is now open. We have implemented an increase to membership packages for the forthcoming season due to an increase in operational costs in addition to the ever increasing cost of maintaining our facilities and pitches. These changes were agreed by members at our AGM held in December. We thank all members for their continued support. You can renew your membership here.
Safeguarding
The club will be hosting a child Safeguarding Course on Tuesday the 10th of February at 7pm. It is mandatory for any coach or mentor involved with underage teams in Na Piarsigh to have completed the child safe guarding course, in addition to being Garda Vetted. Anyone that would like to attend please email our children's officer: childrensofficer.napiarsaigh.limerick@gaa.ie
Club Bar
We’ll be hosting a 45 Drive Card Game every Friday night from 9pm in the club bar for the coming months. We welcome all members and friends who previously enjoyed the Friday night card games back down to the club as we rebuild a great Friday night tradition in the club bar.
45 Drive - Friday Nights
The Shannon Dragons will have their annual table quiz in the clubhouse on Thursday the 22nd of January at 8pm. It’s always an enjoyable evening and in aid of a great charity. All are welcome.
